If you’ve been in a band, followed a band, or just watched any music documentary ever, you know the deal: sometimes rock ’n’ roll throws you a curveball the size of a drum kit. In our latest newsletter we announced that guitarist Gary Ellis would be joining the Sharp Dressed Men family. Not long after, Gary let us know that life had tossed a few unexpected obligations his way, and he wouldn’t be able to hop on board after all.
No bad blood, no smashed guitars, no behind-the-scenes drama — just reality doing what reality does. Gary’s a great guy, and we wish him smooth roads, good tunes, and perfectly tuned strings.
Meanwhile, the rest of the band has been rehearsing like we’re training for the Rock Olympics. The grooves are tight, the vocals are locked in, and the amps are probably filing noise complaints as we speak. Our 2026 schedule is packed with killer shows, and we’re determined to make each one feel big, loud, and unforgettable.
